[Auction Closed] The auction completed with a winning bid of $1,587,500. The new owner, Mitsuru Sato, a Japan-based businessman, plans to display the Skystang I with museum-style exhibitions.

Fender has added some new vintage-inspired models to the Vintera series as Vintera II. For Mustang fans this includes the addition of ’70s Mustangs in Competition Orange and Competition Burgundy colors. And for Jaguar fans this includes the addition of ’70s Jaguar in Black and Vintage White colors.

Today is the official global launch of the Kurt Cobain Fender Jag-Stang commemorating the 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album. The 2021 reissue of the jag-stang is made in Mexico and available in the colors of sonic blue and fiesta red. Left handed versions of both colors are also being produced and should be available this time around. Pricing is $1,249.99 USD / £1,119.00 GBP.
