Fender Jag-Stang Review
Author: Chris
I have had my Jag-stang since 96', from the begining I have never really liked it. It just seemed cheap and tiny to me. I have long fingers and doing some hammeron's or leads are just a hassle till you get use to the neck.
The pickups are #### and I have never liked theyre sound. I actually stopped playing it for 3 years straight with no intention of playing it again. Until I found this website and did a ton of research on fixes to the common problems with this guitar, after I changed the picups with Texas specials and JB duncans, locked down the tremelo and the bridge and adjusted the action so it didnt buzz all the damn time, I now love the guitar, the neck is still tiny but all the rest is not so much a pain.
I would now say this guitar has gone from a least favorite to on of my fave's. especially through my 5150 combo amp it just sounds nice and warm, I have to force myself to put it down. I would say that if you ever got this guitar dont question or ponder on the thought of getting new picups in it, just do it, the outcome is awesome. It took me 11 years to finally like this guitar.
By the way I never played it before becuase it was bought before they where even in stores,so playing it to see if I like it was not an easy option, it was special ordered and was a gift so it was free..rich girlfriends rock!!!! P.S. the ratings are for the guitar stock not what it sounds like now.
