Squier Jagmaster Review |
Are you kidding me? This is a great guitar. People saying "strings broke" "setup was bad" and my favorite "won't stay in tune" cracks me up. All guitars need a string replacement as soon as you get it. Take off the 9's and put on man's strings, at least 10's or 11's. (ouch...it hurts my weak, pink, teenage hands) Come on. MAN-handle those strings like BB, Eric, Jimi, Stevie, Muddy, Johnny, etc. Give 'em grief!!
All guitars need adjustments to bridge and intonation. And it's a tremolo.....put a couple more springs on it.
I've got a lot of guitars (expensive and cheap) and the Jagmaster is awesome. Don't make the mistake of thinking that since it doesn't cost much it's not a fantastic guitar. It is. Neck shape, finishing, and frets are great (that's the heart & soul), pickups sound great (use a decent amp...not a shredder, and you'll see).
And looks? Who cares about looks? It's a working musician's tool. And a damn great one. If you play it like it's meant to be played, and make 'em weep, people will want one because YOU play it.
