Fender Jag-Stang Review
Author: NathanStang75
I got my Fiesta Red '96 around 2004, 2nd hand, and boy what a mess she was in!
Fret wear, frets popping out, neck all out of shape and the trem totally un usable.
I loved the shape and feel of the guitar and the neck is one of the best i've ever played. The pick ups were a cause for concern however. The neck pick up was ok(ish) but the 'humbucker' was hopeless and underpowered. So, the first thing to do was have her set up properly. then replace the pick ups. A J-B trembucker at the bridge and a J-B junior at the neck. The other feature that annoyed me mas the mustang switches. they got disconected and lowered then the tone pot was removed and a 3 way toggle switch fitted in its place. Then I set up the trem properly and the result? BEST-GUITAR-EVER!
