The approximate size of the competition stripes is as follows:
center stripe: 1/2″ or 12.7mm
thin stripes: 1/4″ or 6.35mm
spacing: 1/8″ or 3.18mm between stripes
also forum user ‘eupat’ used the following dimensions with a nice result:
center stripe: 15mm
thin stripes: 8mm
spacing: 4mm
