do you really believe that?FWIW the 24" scale is part of the muddy tone, along with basswood and crummy hardware.

I have a Jb and a hotrails installed in my jag and they sound great.. great output , great tone great everything! BUT you wont have a wide selection of sounds..
how much did they cost together?

what gibsons did he play, and when in his career? oh, right, an epiphone SG once, before he was playing any fenders.... then again, he also hot-rodded his mustangs and jaguars. . . and played gibsons.
i read somewhere that he definitely preferred the jap strats to american ones (except for the saddles).
kurt knew nothing about equipment. he did no work on guitars himself. furthermore, i dont think he ever had an american made anything. fender gave him MIM because they knew he'd just trash it anyway.

not true. In the early days of his career, before Nevermind, he did all his own mods, and would take parts off guitars to repair others and repaired guitars that he'd smashed as well.
