I'll tell you why I sold it.

Bought it because I thought it was a really cool looking guitar. Sold it because was totally broke.

But now I have my custom one which will work as well as it looks. I win.

I can admit it. I bought it cause of Kurt. I like the sound he had and I liked that style. As for the guitar itself, it doesn't really look like anything else (you know what I mean) and it just felt good.

A few minor mods, and now it's an excellent guitar. :-D

I was looking to get a guitar for some months, wanted to get a Greco Les Paul copy but the necks were all way to fat for my small ass fingers.I wanted something a bit differant, every man and his dog has Strats and the like around here and i really love the look of the JS and the small neck the fact that it was designed by KC was just a small attraction.

I bought mine b/c my mustang was stolen and Fender wasn't selling the mustang anymore, but they had the reissue Jag-stang. It had the same neck, a humbucker, and a kick-ass looking body. granted, I would give up my jagstang to have my mustang back, but my Jagstang is a worthy replacement. Also the fact that its got the kurt cobain connection didn't hurt in my decision to get it either, but how the hell did Fender miss the rib contours??

Fender didn't. The crackhead who designed it never finished it. He had better things to do.

I just started playing again 2 years ago after a 30 year lull - at that time I had picked up a Peavey Raptor package because it was cheap and if I decided I wasn't really into playing again, it would be out too much money. Well, I enjoyed playing again and was looking for something better in a guitar, something different, something unique - strats, teles and Les Pauls are way too common. I always liked the look of the Jazzmaster ( Elvis Costello fan ) but the cost was prohibitive. I found my used JagStang at the Guitar Center in the mall where my son had hockey practice - the price was right - $299 and it felt good - so I bought it. That was this past March and I have already swapped the single coil for a SD Hot Rails. I have ideas on some switching mods - coil splitting on the Hot Rails, but need to do some switch testing before I go ahead with them.
Basic research is what I am doing, when I don't know what I am doing.

got conned into once because they didn't have any mustang's or jaguar's in stock.

i was 'bout 13-14 at the time. maybe 15 at that point.

"i need a mustang or a jaguar" why one of those two?
"because they're small"
"well we got this jag-stang over here it's small"

aight this will work.

that's not true. he specified that it have forearm and tummy contour. why the fender company didn't give the jagstang those is a mystery. probably thought they could get away without giving the jagstang them to save money
