Hey guys,

I have just finished my Duo-Sonic III project a few weeks ago and I am totally delighted with my custom-built personalised 24" scale Fender. Pictures will follow if anyone is interested.

Anyway, I've noted a few pictures of modded guitars and home-built bad-boys across the various threads in here and I just wanted to set up a starting point for pictures of your MODIFIED Fenders, rather than me having to sift through individual threads to find yr pics.

So, in here put your pictures of modded Mustangs, Jaguars, Musicmasters, Jagstangs, Duo-Sonic 1s and 2s, Broncos, Cyclones, Toronados, Jazzmasters, Squier 51s, Jag-masters, Supersonics (and all manner of other weird Squier hybrids) even your Baritone Specials, and Telecasters, if you like.
If you have a really good mod of a Katana or a Bullet that is worth posting then go on, you dappy sods.
Personally, I couldn't care less about yr Stratocasters, but I'm sure someone might want to see them too... maybe. ;-)

Go on then, let's see 'em!

You make me blush

I just came up with the idea, but I have a luthier that did the work for me.

It was also supposed to have another tone control, so I was going to have a universal volume, a tone control for neck pickup, and the other tone control for middle/bridge, but the luthier forgot it, and by time it was done, I just wanted my guitar back, so I didn't worry about it.

attn: Bandit

I think I have asked this before, but is that a Pearly Gates in the bridge?

how much did it cost you?

because i tried to cut my jagmasters guard for another humbucker about a week and a half ago and basically destroyed the pickguard. so now i have to buy a new one.

My luthier charged me $150 for the work, which included new strings and a full setup. The pickups cost me about $20 each, and the rotary switch is the one from my 51. I'm pretty happy with it.

I tried cutting a pickguards once, and it didn't end well. It is a skill, that's for sure.

edit: I wrote 'curring'. changed it to 'cutting' :D

squier affinity strat modded with tort, lace sensors and push/pull switch
Posted Image

push pull did do phase on the mid pup but had a spaz and now when up turns the middle three positions into a kill switch, which i actually find more useful :)

also the pup selector is the opposite way round to most strats
Needs tort

Gorgeous guitar, I love lace style pups on strats (well, mostly any guitar!). I think we should start a Squier thread!

Very nice Chris. How do you find the neck profile on the Affinity?

I had one briefly, and even though my hands are TINY, I found the neck profile to be waaaay too thin. It's never been a problem with my tele's though.

But visually, the neck on my Affinity strat was the best I have EVER seen. The flame was just stunning and all over the entire neck.

By the way, I like the dings on yours. That thick poly they use does not dent easily ;)
