Ive noticed more and more guitar tabs sites are requiring "Guitar pro" or similar programs to read them. The tabs are alot more accurate, but the softwares costs a significant amount of money.

Yeah, me too. I've wanted Guitar Pro for ages, had a demo once but it only last 3 session intead of the promised 10. I'd rather spend the extra 200 dollars on guitars.

What is so good about this "guitar pro" program that they can charge $200 for it? Is it more than just a glorified tab viewer or what?

why are we still having a conversation about that program? There are way too many other tabs on the internet to even contemplate wasting $200...

makes no sense to me at all

No, it has built in features that allow you to read the online tab
I'm speaking of CakeWalk Guitar Pro , it has built in effects and amp simulators and it's a great recording/dubbing multi track thing.
I think there is confusion. I'm not resolving it I'm too tired.
