Where's the option for both, that's what I do. Sometimes I play rhythm, sometimes lead, sometimes both at once (fingerpick).

\ i play lead with the scumcore punk band im in right now, but i used to play rythm lines in another. its all about playing style, the band you are in, and the setup you use.
