Fender Adjusto-Matic Bridge

I know other forums have people trying to find these. They are sometimes on Ebay, but I found a website that seems to keep them in stock if you are looking for them to replace a bridge and want one closer to the right radius than a standard Tune-O-Matic. This one is 9.5 for the Classic Player and Blacktop guitars so they work great for that. They can be filed for the 7.5's like the Tune-O-Matic, but are closer to the right radius.

Aside from these parts Angela.com has a bunch of other random parts that seem to be hard to find in guitar shops. Enjoy!

Thank you for posting this. Just got a Blacktop Jaguar. Love it, except it has a strange "fuzzy rattle" sound both plugged in (through amp)and acoustic. I may have it narrowed down to a loose retaining wire on the bridge. Have been looking all over for some kind of info on this bridge, so thanks for the sites.

I would suggest you open it up and check the grounds. In at least one of the Blacktops I opened the bridge ground wire was there, but not connected to anything and the toggle switch had no ground attached. Easy to fix and helps make them work better. 😀

OK. So, you're telling me I have to take apart my new baby? 😲 OK. I aspire to be the kind of person who can do this without cringing. There is a "loose part" sound at the neck pickup, so doing this could solve other issues as well. Thanks 😀

You can take it to a guitar shop and pay someone to do it, but from experience no one will baby your baby like you will. I am much more careful with my guitars than I would expect anyone else to be for me. It saves you money and time to do your own repairs when possible. It is a nice feeling to have a guitar you made or repaired yourself. 😀
