I have a 65 Mustang reissue and the single coil bridge PU is just to weak for me.

I want a grungy sound that sounds crunchy with high gain on distortion.

Whats the best single coil sized humbucker for this?
Also how do i get a regular sized humbucker to fit in the single coil space of my Mustang?
Thanks

My jaguar has a hotrail PU in the bridge and I really can't say enough good things about it. I'm extremely satisfied with the sound. To get a regular humbucker to fit you would need to route the guitar which I wouldn't recommend because it brings down the value, is expensive, and if the person doesn't know what their doing possibly ruin your guitar.
