I didn't know that he continued to be a junkie even in death.

Also, drugs are fun and I'll do them if I want.

Cobang was a terrible guitarist.
Stop trying to be like him.

I don't think the majority of people could handle coke or meth responsibly.Herb and Psychedelics maybe.

F*ck meth, f*ck that ####. Psychedelics are way more intense than coke, cokes is just more adictive but it balences out but the huge price and rarity (for the most part anyway).

Weed gave me chronic depersonalization (Still suffering 24/7 since 2 years), its a living hell, such a shame since i really enjoyed weed, but it seems like i am one of the lesser people who is sensitive to weed.

Meh.. my wallet is alot heavier tho since i stopped.

As an addict since 1962, recovering since 1987, I've seen a lot from both sides. It's almost as if playing music is a laboratory for studying addictions. We've all hung out with plenty of addicts, probably more than we realize cuz "functional alcoholics" blend in so well. And either we've lost friends to addiction or we're gonna.

Me, I also know hundreds of recovering addicts and we all tend to agree we were genetically predisposed to addiction, and socially educated as kids by our adults to abuse alcohol and other drugs. That combination made us more vulnerable to addiction than others.

Many of us in recovery also tend to agree that casual, recreational use of drugs supports the industry of organized crime which kills with both guns and dope.

For anyone interested in looking at this in more detail, this link is a healthy-lookin SRV explaining down to earth his addictions and his recovery:

Cheers,
Doug
