So... Fender's Custom Shop calls and tells you that they desperately want to produce a signature model for you. How would you design it?

I've been playing with the thought myself today, and this is what I've come up with. Behold - the Stratmaster.

I really dig that!
I'm not sure if I would want to create a franken-guitar or just a signature version of a pre-existing guitar, but for now, I'd go with an early model DuoSonic in Dakota Red with a matching headstock. I really dig the Duo Sonic that I have now and would love for more of them to be available, but with my own little tweaks stapled on.

If I had only once choice of guitar I'd say, a Jaguar with the following
- Mustang Bridge/Trem
- Jazzmaster Neck Pickup
- Jaguar Middle Pickup
- Humbucker at the bridge, probably a Duncan JB
- Jaguar Body
- Jag-Stang Neck
- Kluson Tone-Pros Tuners

Availible color combos
Sunburst on black with Gold Hardware
Foam Green with Black Moto PG and Black Hardware
Butterscotch Blonde with Black PG and Chrome Hardware

Either that or just have them recreate my 96' Jag-Stang with EMG pickups down to the vintage Mustang Vibrato unit

I have the dream.

My 1998 Gibson Les Paul TV Special with tortoise pickguard shaped like a Les Paul Jr. guard, with matching truss rod cover.

Played through a '98 Danelectro HT50 AMP.
