I recently got a mustang and some lace sensor hot golds I'd like to drop in. However, this is my first pick up replacement and I could use some help.
Are there any in depth guides or videos detailing how to do this on mustang specifically? There are tonnes of guides for strats and teles but none for mustangs that I can find. I've seen the wiring diagram but this doesn't help much for a beginner.
Any help is appreciated.

If it were me I would take it in to a luthier. I know it is simple to do but it's good to get to know who is a good luthier in your area and who is a bad one for later on when you may want or need something a little more involved.

My rule of thumb with setup is you go to your highest fret on the neck and hold strings down. Raise the pickup so it is about two stacked dimes above the pickup.
(Like 1/8 of an inch.)
