Hey everyone! I'm new around here. Anyway I've got a buddy who wants to rewire his Jaguar for a more conventional pickup selection. He just wants bridge, neck, and then a combination. I know I could toss a new switch in there to this easily, but I was wondering if there was anyway I could do this with the hardware currently in the guitar. Can anyone help me out?

It is already wired that way. Top one turns the neck on or off and the middle one turns the bridge one on and off. To get both, you just turn both on.

Not really. Those are on/on. You could make one switch do one pickup or the other, but not one or the other and both. You would need a three position switch and those are only two.

Ok, thanks for the help. Last question, is there anyway I can swap in a new 3 way switch in the place of the old one?

This would work. Paul Rhoney made the one I used. You can find him by googling "Paul Rhoney Guitars."

IIRC a three way switch like the ones Mustangs and Jag-Stangs use are slightly longer than a two way switch and wouldn't fit. You would have to get a custom plate made for that. Paul could make that for you or one that works with a toggle. Mine with a toggle, looks like this:
