I was thinking of installing a bigsby on my Jag HH special and was wondering what people thought. I think I saw a few pics of other peoples Jags who did the same thing. Perhaps I could get some insight from them.

I had one on my Jaguar Special HH. I don't have the guitar anymore. It worked fine and was easy to install with the vibramate adapter, but It was much stiffer than a normal Jag/Jazzy trem and more bulky. If you LIKE bigsbys, it is a great option. I didn't like the HH pickups because they were a bit weak and I wanted a traditional trem so I ended up trading this guitar. It LOOKED great though.
Hmmm, you have given me much food for thought. I really want a vibrato system on my jag and know that Bigsby's are easy retro fit, but the thing is I've never tried a bigsby (I've been fascinated by them ever since I saw Jody Porter form Fountains of Wayne playing a Tele with a bigsby). What dyou think? are there any other vibrato systems that are easy to retrofit and won't mess up the jag's looks? And you think its very very important I try a Bigsby before forking out on one?

Some people really like bigsbys. I love the way they look, but normal Jag trems are mostly flush with the body vs the bigsby that sticks off the body. It is a taste thing. The bigsby is easy to add on those using a vibramate, but I would try to see if you could try a guitar with a bigsby on it before going to all that work. if you really like it, then you would be all set.

Here's mine ... Actually pretty common to slap a Bigsby on a Jag Special.. Almost like it belongs there ..
