Just replaced my dead D'Adderios with DR Tite-Fit 10s, nickel plated, round core. The packaging lit has scientific-sounding claims of superior sound & life, with a Jeff Healey endorsement.

Well, I'm relatively new to electric guitar...and new strings sound so different than what I've been hearing from dying strings, I wonder if anyone has any experience with DRs? What do ya think of em?

Cheers,
Doug

DRs weren't bad. I've used them and they did last awhile for me compared to earnie balls, but right now i've been hooked on GHS boomers.

I hate them, I always had breakage issues with them.

I went through a couple sets on an Ibanez and they were good but in standard they were, well, "tite." The A string especially seemed about to break on pitch. I think they're mainly good for very heavy stuff, or drop tunings when you don't want floppy strings. For standard though...yeah don't do that unless you want alot of tension, they're quite taught.
