About a year and a half ago i bought a 1996 fiesta red fender jag-stang for 400 bucks at a pawnshop. i had been wanting a jag-stang for a while because of the features such as the no contour telecaster style body, double humbucker and single coil, and the mustang bridge. so i go to visit family and in the local pawnshop and found one. when i picked it up and played it t r is a not a good buy for someone not planing to mofelt nice and so i bought it. i wanted to make adjustments like putting on heavier gauge strings.
i plug it into my amp and the pickups sound not not bright at all. they sounded very cheap. so make sure when purchasing to test through an amp of some sort so your not dissappointed. i put a heaver gauge string and the top string started to buzz like crazy even after adjusting bridge. i got everything done on it and i made it into a amazing guitar.
so my final ruling on th guitar is its not a good buy for some who will not be willing to modify, a good buy for someone willing to modify to make it better.
