Fender Jaguar Review

Author: Quintin

I recently purchased a Mexican-made Fender Jaguar Classic Player Special HH, and let me tell you it is by far the BEST guitar I've ever played in my entire life.

It all started at Best Buy in the States somewhere [I live in Canada], when I spotted a Squier Jagmaster and asked to play it. I really liked the look and feel of this guitar, so when I returned home from my trip I started researching it and stumbled across the Jaguar. When I saw the amount of possibilities that this guitar has, I instantly knew it was the guitar for me.

The Sound: Nice and twangy when played clean, and many different tones due to picup selectors, blenders, low-cut switch and tone knob. When in overdrive or distortion, the humbucking pickups sound very full and very good. A very versatile guitar.

Features: Too many for any of my friends to understand. I figured it out right out of the box, although I still haven't heard all the tones that this guitar is capable of dishing out.

Action/Finish/Feel: I was worried at first of it being Mexican-made that it wouldn't be as good quality, but I thought wrong. It has a great feel, very smooth and lightweight, but solid. The finish is three-colour sunburst. Slick. The only thing wrong was a broken or missing screw in the pickguard, but there wasn't even a hole drilled for it!

Reliability/Durability: I've only had this guitar for about a week or so now, but I'm already in love with it.

Overall: GReatest guitar I have ever played, period. THANK YOU FENDER, for making such an intelligently designed guitar.
