It’s time for another look back at how the Registry has evolved during the previous few years. (last update post was winter 2016) And we like to say a big THANK YOU! to all the jag-stang owners out there who have participated by adding their guitar info. It’s been very interesting to get a feel for just how many jag-stangs are out there and where they’ve all ended up.
Below is the summary of data with the changes from the last 24 months in bold. Some of the interesting changes are: 251 new entries over the last 24 months! That’s about 10.5 new jag-stangs per month added.

Color – Sonic Blue is the most popular color at 55.8%. (-0.3%)

We plan to continue adding features and tweaks to The Registry and welcome input from everyone on desired features. If you haven’t yet added your jag-stang click the link below to get started.
The auction has now closed and the Fiesta Red prototype jag-stang has a winning bid of $93,750.
The Kurt Cobain Fender Jag-Stang Fiesta Red prototype is currently up for auction at Julien’s Auctions. This is part of a “Music Icons 2018 Auction Lot” with some other guitars and music related collectibles.
There are not any detailed photos included in the listing of the prototype jag-stang. Provenance is provided by “Fender Museum of the Arts Foundation”. The prototype apparently has a serial number of V069200 on the neckplate which is different than regular production jag-stangs that have the serial number on the base of the neck above the neck joint.
Also included in the auction is the design drawing done by Kurt for the Jag-Stang.
If anyone comes across more details of the prototype in this auction let us know!
