Installing Lace Sensor Pickups

I have two lace sensor pickups I want to install into my mustang, but I have no idea what the wiring situation is.

I have installed regular single coils, with two cables, and humbuckers, with 5 cables...

But these pickups have three cables (orange, green, and white)

The closest thing I could find to a diagram was this:

There is a green cable coming out of the pickup, but this diagram doesn't show that. Also, what about the green and orange cables that are crossing the switch, why are they orange and green? I already have the pickup selector setup, I simply need to attach the pickups.

Green is ground for the plate. Just ground it where the other grounds go and it will be fine. The color of the wires making an x doesn't really matter. You solder orange where it shows it and white where it shows it. Is the diagram confusing because it has six pins instead of eight? If so I can upload the same diagram using the eight pin setup.

Here is how to connect a single lace to a standard mustang/jagstang eight pin switch. I hope that helps. 😀

(Oh and this switch is setup as the neck switch. Bridge switch is very similar. Let me know if you need one of those.)

Just remember Orange is hot (yellow), White is ground (black), and Green is ground for the plate, so it doesn't go to the switch, just to the main ground line. Good luck!

If I remember correctly my green and white wires are twisted together and soldered to the same spot.

Since green and white are ground, it is likely fine to solder them together to the switch.
