Increased Output

Is that possible without having to buy new PU's, caused I noticed that my Strat has a better distorted sound with my same setup(guitar->BD-2->HRDx) and I gather it is due to the Strat's general Higher output(or maybe the fact the Strat's PU's are pretty old).

So is there anyway I can increase it without a great deal of purchases?

Without purchasing new pu's you can raise the height of your stocks.
