i can't think of a time when he would have used it. according to that new film's accompanying interview, he started out in the 60's with an electric band but their equipment got reposessed and he started the acoustic duo thing because he could only afford a 20 quid classical guitar, then when tyrannosaurus rex became "T-Rex" he bought a strat, then a les paul, and occasionally used a Zematis guitar onstage. never seen him with a jag, so maybe it was just an at-home guitar.
