i've seen a squire venus i might get. How do they compare to a js soundwise? Please dont just slag off Courtney or say its #### because she made it cos im a fan & wanted somebody whos played both to give me their opinion.

i've never played one, but everyone i've known who has and others who've regarded them on the boards have all thought highly of them, even if some thought they were a bit uncomfortable or even ugly.

most have said it's better than the js. i can see how it would probably be more managable.

I ain't played either, but the JS looks a lot cooler, but I'm guessing that's not much help. I hate the look of the Venus.

Pretty small body with a long neck, looks a bit like a bass to me. But sorry, can't tell you any experiences of playing a thing like that..

I say it's a really nice guitar, nicely built and good neck. Dont about sound cos i didnt play it amplified, uess its a case of try before you buy!

Personally i think theyre ugly as crap, so id never get one.

If you can get one dirtcheap then fine, but otherwise i dont see the attraction. I'd go for a Jagmaster or JS over that everytime, maybe even a Squier Super-sonic (if you can find one).
