Fender noiseless pickups anyone?

Hello folks, this might not be the right forum to ask but being as I value your opinions so much I'll try anyway!

My old man has a CIJ telecaster (that I sold him, incidentally) and he's been moaning about how noisy the pickups are, and with his birthday in a couple of weeks I thought I might try and cheer the old fella up a bit. Does anyone know anything about these fender noiseless pups? http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/pickups_noiselesstele.htm

There's a couple of mixed reviews on harmony central but wondered if anyone here had heard them?

Any cheaper alternatives would be good as well!

Seymour Duncan Vintage rails/Cool Rails?

Think they have the same list price, but you can usually pick up SD pickups cheap-ish 2nd hand on ebay..cos thyere so common.

i like the noiseless pups, i have a hot rails in my tele actiually. not a back pup at all.

Just in case anyone's interested, I sent my dad the fender noiselss pickups and we fitted them over christmas. He was well chuffed, until we'd finished wiring them up and strung the guitar and it turned out the bridge pup wasn't working! After some tests with the multimeter it seemed the coil wire was broken somewhere on the bottom coil (they're stacked humbuckers). After a bit of poking around with a magnifying glass I managed to spot the break, which was where the coil wire leaves the coil and looks a bit vulnerable (if you can see it - it's ****ing thin). We managed to repair it with a strand of copper wire and put it back to together and they sound great! Much nicer tone than the japanese pups, and quieter. Still buzzed on the crunch channel of his marshall valvestate but dunno if that's more cos of the amp than guitar. On the clean channel they're silent.

So that was a fun way to spend christmas anyway! Bonding with Dad!
