I broke the Circuit selector on my poor Jag.It's stuck on Rhythm.I think my guitar sounds like #### so I bought an awesome seymour duncan jb humbucker.I'm wonderin if I should fix the switch cos If it's stuck on rhythm it's only actin on the neck pickup(or is it) or should I put the Humbucker in the neck.Or will it be ok in the bridge anyway.I'm a bit of a guitar retard punk so any help will be good.

i'd just have the humbucker installed in the bridge position and get a new switch. and if you don't know how to solder or route, then it might be best just taken to a good guitar tech

if the switch is broken, just order it online and resolder it...

just buy a soldering iron and a pair of tweezers so you dont have to hold the wires and get badly burnt, like i did a while ago.....

sell the seymor and dont change the pickups.

The rhythm circuit only works on the neck pickup in Jags and Jazzes.

Get the switch fixed. it`s not that big a deal. Replacement switches are cheap. I broke mine a couple of years ago, and took it in to a shop for repair- It took only a day or two, and cost me only about $35.00 parts and labor.

Keep Jaguar pickups on your Jaguar. If you want more gain, try Seymore Duncan Quarter-Pounders.

I was soldering today and a massive blob ended up on my forehead. It caned, but It could have been my eye.

Well, I was wiping the end of the soldering iron on a paper towel and it flicked, I was being clumsy 😛

Gargh nasty. In electronics lessons in school me and 3 other guys used to have solder wars, basically load an iron with solder and flick it, looking back on it It was so #### stupid - I came out with only 3 scars though 😛

Dude, contact elderly.com and get them to order and ship you a new switch. The switch is under 20 bucks for sure.

Same exact #### happened to me. Easy fix. Get a new switch, bring it to a guitar tech. Does stewmac.com ship to Ireland? That was where I got mine and it was a quality switch.
