Would a 1959 or 1960 Duosonic Case fit a Mustang?

Same body shape, same neck... I don't see why not. Were the cases different for the different scale necks?

I think the duo-sonic might be smaller bodied and shorter necked.

I have two MIM Duo Sonics that are 22.7" scale, and they fit in my Mustang case just fine.

Alright, thanks everyone. I don't think it will fit. The necks of Musicmasters and Duo-Sonics are 22.5" while his Mustang is a 24" scale.

It's not the length of the guitar that you're going to have to worry about, it's the width. A Strat would fit into my MM case if it's body wasn't so big....and BTW, a MM has basicly the same body as a Mustang.

FOR THE SECOND TIME, IT WILL FIT! AND VICE VERSA. FENDER DIDN'T MAKE TINY CASES FOR TINY GUITARS.

they're not talking about a mustang case. they're talking about a 59 or 60 duo sonic case (which is a case for a 22.5 scale guitar). so no, a 24 scale guitar will probably not fit in a 22.5 scale case.

Fender never made shorter cases, they just moved the block of wood inside that fits tight against the body. They made two different sized necks, but not two different cases.

And vice versa...Fender didn't make smaller cases...I thought that was obvious.
