Anyone with Humbuckers...........

Has anyone here had humbuckers installed (not noiseless singles) in their Mustang by a tech (for proper placement) and if so, would you be interested in making a template for another one. If so, contact me at j.thurber@sbcglobal.net .

I'd also like to see some pics of Mustangs that have had humbuckers professionally installed if you have any.

My Bronco with a humbucker. In my opinion, single coil sized humbuckers are the only way to go in a Mustang or like guitar. Otherwise, you can't keep the sexy closed cover.

By the way, thanks for the photos. I really need a template though.

My tech broke his hand, therefore can't do the job, and I want them routed for proper placement. It's essential to get the right tones.

He means the plastic cover over the pickup which hides the polepieces.

There's pickup covers, both perfed and non-perfed, available for humbuckers if that's what he was referring to.

I think he's referring to that flush appearance that you have with the pickguard when playing with standards or 'stacks'.

What the hell do I know though?

The plastic covers do look really nice. They look good on lace sensors too.

a mustang should always be with normal single coils. hums should work, but if you put in hotrail i will slap you

that bronco has a twin blade humbucker in a robroe cover...

and jason, your tech is an idiot. any single coil guitar will take a mini-bucker with no body/pg modification. And if the body/pg isn't routed for a single coil, he should be able to do it.

They aren't single coil sized humbuckers and I can route the body.

That's why I'm looking for a template for the project. Otherwise, I will need the tech to do it (proper placement) and he's kind of on the expensive side.
