hello,i have just bought this pick-up for my Jag-Stang from someone,but i found out,it is for the neck position.is it somehow different (sound,wiring..) from that bridge-one?or is it exactly the same pick-up,just with the sign on the other side?

I don't know about this pickup specifically but from what I gather bride versions will have a slightly higher output and a slightly better bass response to make up of the smaller vibrations of the strings near the bridge, but I'd wait for someone who knows more to give you a proper answer.

SH-4 is the JB model, isn't it? See:

I haven't seen replacement pickups sold for neck or bridge position, at least the JB. It's just the JB.. I don't think there's different neck and bridge models at all.

Btw, which pole spacing is right for Jag-Stang, Should the pickup be SH-4 or TB-4? See:

(Yeah I know it says "Floyd Rose" on TB page, but the SH and TB models differ also in pole spacing as I've heard it)

A quick and easy way to tell which you need is to measure from the middle of the high string to the middle of the low string, directly over the pickup. If the distance is greater than two inches or 50mm, go for a Trembucker. If it's less than two inches or 50mm, go for a humbucker.

Thanks, so I see it is! The FAQ has improved quite a bit since I last time had a peek at it. Thank goodness I've got the Trembucker like it should be on the Jag-Stang, I already started suspecting I've chosen the wrong one.. And my point is: ddowner might have the wrong pickup for JS if the title of this topic is right.

Ahh, yeah, I see your point, although, because the JS has an angled pickup it's not too much of an issue because the polepieces don't line up properly either way.
