Made in usa sticker(?) on 67 or 68 jag

I discovered my uncle had a 67 or68 fender jag SITTING IN HIS BASEMENT NOT BEING USED and freaked out. I recieved this as a christmas present from him, and saw this 'made in usa' emblem. I've never seen it on any other jag tho. . . rare?

Yea, I know I'm lucky 😀 I was all ready to go wash dishes at this place to buy a MIJ jaguar. . . and then I talk to my uncle.

And, I'm pretty sure if I take the emblem off the finish will come with it, and I dont think it looks too bad anyway. So there it will stay.

Quick question, what kind of camera are you using? Whatever it is you're getting a lot of motion blur. First of all, start using a flash if there's not great lighting, then, if you have the option of Appature Priority Mode (it'll just be called "A") on the camera, choose that and pick the lowest number possible, this will allow your camera to pick the fastest shutter speed available for the lighting provided (including the flash).

Or, ideally, put it on automatic and take the photo outside on a sunny day.

If I'm not wrong 1903 is when Harley Davidson Inc. has been established so the sticker it's not from fender.

you will have to take the guitar apart, and depending on your skills i would say. DON;T #### TOUCH IT!!!

edit: more pics of the neck asap. if you can a neck stamp would be nice,

and for crap sake man, that thing is clean, all the metal is nice n shiny.

the pups look ok in the pics, it even looks like the mute still has life left in it.

The bridge saddles on the bass side are too far forward so it probably won't play in tune. It's in need of a setup. 😆

and no, I dont want to sell it, its really weird, because I've always wanted a Jag, and that just happens to be the guitar my uncle had! My Uncle also had a Gibson Firebird from like 1980 or something, but I wanted the Jag.

As far as intonation goes, put on a new set of strings then check it using a guitar tuner. Tune the open string to pitch (I usually use the harmonic at the 12th fret) and compare this with the fretted note one octave higher at the 12th fret. It the fretted octave note is Flat move the saddle Forward, if it's sharp move it back.

With a bit of adjustment the two should end up exactly the same and your guitar should sound in tune. You might need to adjust string height afterwards. If you do you'll need to check the intonation again. Looking at the photo you posted, the saddles on the bass side look too far forward (the notes higher up the neck will sound sharp).
