i hear jonny uses " telecaster plus' "

anybody have any idea how that differs from a normal american tele?

From Wikipedia:

Telecaster Plus' had a short style bridge (somewhat similar to that of the Stratocaster), with the bridge pickup having a small metal border which was not part of the bridge mechanism. Telecaster Plus' necks were shorter and fatter than standard telecaster necks. The Telecaster Plus' control plate also differed from the standard Telecaster, due to an extra mini switch between the tone and volume knobs, which was used to select different pickup settings - giving the guitar a huge range of different tones.

Not really, it's just covered in stickers. Also the coil tap for the Red Lace Sensor 'dually' has been changed to a kill-switch on his, and the electronics are re-wired.

Ah. Wacky. I misinformed Malik then when I told him JG had a push button kill switch on his Tele. I suppose he might have another one with a push button kill switch, I'm sure I heard that he did somewhere.

Yeah it's highly possible, their guitar tech Plank makes Jonny copies of the Telecaster Plus these days because they're not in production. If I got something from the Fender Custom Shop, a Tele plus (with some original features) would be pretty high on my list.

i saw one picture of him playing a beaten up tele, dont know if its a tele plus

Possibly, I didn't mean to be objectional, he generally just looks after his instruments, albeit a few scratches caused by his vicious playing style.

Everytime I've seen Radiohead live, he uses a Tele Plus, but never has it been really beat up or covered in stickers.

He probably has several, I've definitely seen at least 2 different ones with stickers on.

he has at least 2 sunburst ones, or has had at least 2 different ones over the years anyway... and if you say plank is building him copies then it's hardly suprising that at least one of them would be beat up (the original one, durr). maybe he doesn't take his original on tour anymore.

Yeah Plank made them after his first two got stolen.
