Easy swap, my 65 mustang neck has been on my 66 musicmaster for years.
As long as they are the in the 64-68 series they will work. Trust me Fender wasn't going to waste any money to cut different shaped neck pockets for 22.5 and 24 inch scale bodies. All the pockets are (I think) are 2 3/16" x 3" x 5/8" deep. They are square, they do not taper for the shape of the neck. Because there was also various widths for necks at the nuts marked as A, B, C, and maybe D this would make for several different pocket sizes all for a line of budget "student" guitars.
