It would work for you, but only as good as any other guitar would. Seriously, the Tele or a Strat is the best choice for you.

altho that does sounds awesome, i hav made the decision to build my own guitar with parts from warmoth, heres what im thinking.

-sonic blue swamp ash body

- two 69 fender custom shop single coil pickups in the neck and middle posisition

-dimarzio evo pickup in the bridge

-rosewood fingerboard with a birdseye maple neck

-original floyd rose

-vintage pearl pickguard

-locking tuners

I'm assuming you're doing a Strat body? Get rid of the Floyd Rose and locking tuners, and it sounds good.

You can dive bomb with any properly set up and maintained trem, You can see on Youtube Madmike from this board has some clips of him doing divebombs and Van Halen on a jag-stang stock trem.

but anyway, does the type of fingerboard you get effect the sound of the guitar alot, becuase rightnow, i pretty much hav everything settled for what i want except for the neck and fingerboard wood 😕

Yeah, the fingerboard wood will definatly affect the sound. Maple tends to be brighter than Rosewood, but it's really not so noticable, and I think it's better to go with the one that feels better to you.

gotta stay true to the original fender strat head stock, maybe even if i can find it the big 70s one, i always thot those were kinda kool, and i might even slap on a fender strat decal if can find one
