65 Mustang Reissue Nut Material

Are the nuts on these the same plastic types as on the Jagstang and '69 RI's? Looks like it from this eBay pic. No local shops have any '65's to play in person yet... ☹

no idea, if you want bone, you could just make one, or go to the nearest luthier/shop

Has anyone compared the nut width on the Comp-Stang's to the '65 RI's? According to Fender's spec sheets they are different but you know thier specs are sometimes spotty. Pic of the Comp-Stang nut from eBay:

the one on my gfs 69 re-issue is plastic fo sho, but it sounds alright so there is no need to change it out.

those ones might be polytrinate, like the american vintage series. alot of the features on those '65 stangs is like an AV fender

or it might not be called polytrinate. i can't remember what it was called. but it's a special type of plastic that is harder, aged and more bone like. it might even be called corian or something

but at last its have gigantic sustain and good Tone

dont kill the sustain like plastic does

at hardtails guitars and acustics bone is best way , tremolos i choice do graphtech ...
