amp for jazzmaster

hey, I wasnt sure if this should go in this section or amps, but here is my question. Right now I am playing a 76 jazzmaster through a blues jr. I'm looking to upgrade to either a vox ac15cc or an orange tiny terror. I was wondering what you guys recomend. I am mostly looking for the clean sound out of the amp, as I use a distortion pedal for the dirty stuff. Which would you guys recomend, and what are you guys using? thanks a lot

I've only played through one orange amp and it was with a ####ty strat copy, but it had perhaps the best clean I've ever heard. That being said, I've heard orange has gotten pretty sketchy lately. Not sure about the vox, but is that vox model an actual tube amp or one of those tube/solid state trans tube things?

I think the Tiny Terror is NOT made for clean...

but the blues jr is awesome, no point in changing it

the ac15cc is all tube, as is the orange tiny terror.

My budget once I sell my blues jr, will be around the 500-600 dollar range.

yeah, i got one a while back and love it.

anyways, toez, i don't understand why you would say the AC15 is all tube and the blues jr isn't? i thought the blues jr was all tube. if you're talking about the rectifier, i don't think the ac15 has a valve rectifier either. plus most people would rather have solid state rectifier anyway...

I didnt say that the blues jr wasnt all tube, I was clarifying for someone above who asked if the ac15 was all tube as well. I'm just looking for a different amp tone, and something that will push a little harder.

tiny terrors are suppoed to be amazing, I'd go for that over a VOX I think. Maybe a peavy classic 30? probably very similar to a blues junior anyway...

yeah, I tried the classic 30, and it just really wasnt what I was looking for. I'm hoping to try the vox ac15 this weekend, and hopefully in the next couple weeks be able to find a tiny terror to try. they're not easy to find in MI.
