go to the hardware store buy a piece of chrome metal.
its usually 1mm. the original is about 1,5mm
i got a plate enough for ten of them
you can easy cut it with scissor.
screw the original plate over the peace of metal with tape between.(so it wont damage)
know you can cut it very easely. just make sure it won't bend
it surpriced me how easy it was.
the only thing that was hard was the square hole
the second one i made was near perfect,.and i'm using it know on my a.v.
