I'm having a lefty jag-stang made from the b. hefner company. I'll be posting as many pics of the project as I can. I'll change a few things. Like the pickguard not flowing with the body and other stuff. On Saturday I'm going to go check on the neck. This is like a dream for me. late!

The pickguard is meant to be like that, it's no mistake. It's meant to be symmetrical with the control plate, which also doesn't flow with the body. 😉

Can't wait to see some pictures too, custom Jag-Stangs are always cool!

What I want is the guitar to look good and, there is something wrong with the pickguard. I want it to flow perfectly with the body. The Jag-stangs pickguard is way off the lower horn and doesn't flow with the rest of the body like it should. If you look at a Mustang. The pickguard flows nicely with the body. So I'll have to reshape it and balance it with the body. I think it'll look better. Another thing I'll change(not to say the way this part sucks in any way) is the pickups angle. Instead of being at an angle. I'll have them made straight and instead of being H/S. It'll be H/H. As of now the color could be a costom orange not a regular orage. The orange I want is only in my head right now so when I get it out I let you see it. Another change will be the bridge, the wood of the body neck and fretboard. The placement of the truss rod and much more. Like I say. On Saturday I'm going to go check on the neck and I'll have some pics whether its done or not. My goal is to have the guitar look like if that was the way it was. Just better.

Well, after a big set back with the neck not being centered and, having to start all over again. I finally have some pictures to show. They're just of the neck but, it's not done. They still need to smooth it out and, spray it. Even though there's been some set backs. I'm really learning a lot and I'm seen how they make my guitar. The neck should be done on Saturday. I hope. Anyways, here they are,

It does have a skunk stripe and the place is in Whittier. It's still not done though.

Better to wait than to have a guitar that sucks right.

What step by step method did you use to drill that headstock plug in? was the fretboard glues on before you drilled the hole in the head?

Someone else is doing the guitar for me but, I'll ask him about the step by step method. I think I remember what he did but, to be sure I'll ask him better.

i think i figured out a way to do the rosewood in the slot hole, but its just a cheap fix. im not sure how most companies go about it.

but basically drill your opening big, and stick a dow rod in the hole.

cut, shape, and drill.

thats what i did.
