Precisely. Might I suggest a hot rod deville, pretty good cleans, decent dirty channel, good tube tone, and not quite as heavy or as expensive as a twin.

I have a 62 Jaguar going through a Fender Sidekick Reverb 35 watt and the sound is superb especially as I have overdrive and reverb settings...

So it looks like the majority are suggesting to play it through a Fender amp...

i would suggest you go to a shop and try out alkl the amps you can afford and buy the one you like the most.

Here I go.... Vox Pathfinder 15-R and an echobox. Lots of reverb and tremolo... Then its back to the early 60's. 😛

Just sold my Vox AC-30 from 1965 with original stand.... Hey they weigh as an small car, impossible to carry around. Used to have an Fender Quad reverb too, now that was an heavy thing. I would like an silverface Fender twin reverb, alas the weight.... ☹

(back problem since an car accident long time ago)

I run my JAP Jag trough an Orange OR120 ('76) and an Orange 2x12" cab

sound great!
