Well judging by your screen name (possibly a derivative of the song "Negative Creep" by Nirvana), I assume you're into Grunge/Alt-Rock guitar. There's some descriptions on the website about them, but I'll throw up a basic description of both in the Alt-Rock World.
The Mustang was made as a student guitar in 1964, and has strat-level output single coil pickups, a trem unit with a bad repuatation amongst the unknowledgeable, and is geared more towards 60's rock naturally than alternative/metal/heavier music.
The Jag-Stang was designed by Kurt Cobain in 1993 as basically a Mustang in a partial Mustang/Jaguar based body with a humbucker pickup in the bridge. It's okay for Alt Rock, but many people I talk to say the pickups are not that good in the earlier models (1995-1998) at least.
The bridge problem is more a competant technician problem than a problem with the guitar though. I have a post about it on the boards in this section (the Jag-Stang section).
There are some other variants you might like including the Cyclone, and Squier Musicmaster (single humbucker), they are also cheaper than the Mustang and Jag-Stang are, and easier to acquire as they are in production in larger numbers at this time.
