Hi im just living here in good ole' germany and wanted to buy a gibson les paul standard. Im lefthanded. So lets see how much one is here.

I don't, but I'd be careful, because although it's that price, you'll get arse raped with customs taxes if Germany is anything like the UK and end up paying the same price you would have payed to buy it in Germany. That's why the German price is higher in the first place.

Im thinking about travelling to the USA, buying a gibson there, flying back to germany and take the guitar for/as (?) hand luggage. Do you think it could work?

It should work yeah, not sure about customs then though, but if you make out you had the guitar when you left Germany there's nothing they can do. Plus you get a fun trip to the US! I don't know about US or Germany hand luggage rules, but in the UK you're alowed one small bag, but exception is made for musical instruments.

if i hold bought an Gibson les paul on brasil its about 7.000 bucks

Luthier can do it for me per more than half of price and have exelent quality

Exemple in pratical , i wanted an ibanez Prestige and after checked price its more than 10.000!!!!! bucks on brasil

so i called luthier did my White beauty ( Randy rhoads RR-1 Reprodution)

and Requested do one for me

total its about 3.800 i payed , 50% after i request and i will pay 50% when its done .... check how its going

like wood , Pickups , Bridge , Style , colour ... all

also can do things have on premium line aka Custom shop history line

like Deep set neck , Quart-saw Mahogany neck and premium mahogany body , can get premium hardware and choice all things you want add like finish on neck if you like Thin or tall neck finish

and its hand maded , very careful maded

I don't think it's that likely he'd get caught, long as he takes all the lables off it and makes it look like he's played it, fingerprints ect, it's not like he's smuggling heroin, it's perfectly legal to take a guitar on an aeroplane.

Anyways, better idea dude, buy a hard case, pad it well, and put it in the hold.

when i went from indy to colorado, i took my guiatar on the plane with me and i had no problem, but that was before 9-11

so watch out, cuz you will get scrwewed at the airport nowadays.

do what icey did and try to get in touch with a luthier.
