if there is any way you can get pics that would help alot.
for one thing make sure the pups and the pickguard look about the same age. if the guard is yellowed and the pups are bright white, then the pups are new. and vise versa.
the tuners should be all chrome, either klusons or the later f-style.
it may have binding and just dots.
check if they have the mute. the trem arm, the original case. and the trem arm.
it will hard to convice them to let you see under the hood unless you have more than half in your pocket.
