I dunno, but the secret to modding anything well is to make it look like it could have come out the factory like that!
What kinda mods are you thinging? Simple electronic things, cosmetic stuff or full-on canibalisation?
Here's a couple of mine which I've posted many a time:
Gear4Music strat: (new pickups, scratchplate, knobs, neck on switch)
Hondo II Strat: (Lots of filler, lots of Routing, new scatchplate/controll plate, new pickups, totally new electronics, neck of different guitar, needs respray, and hole for input jack, not finished yet)
