can't you read? 2 washers under, 2 washer on top...that's enough gap to feed strings under.

One washer on the top of the plate, and one under the plate. "a" is SINGULAR. And the one under the plate wouldn't affect wrapping the strings.

Right. One washer between the tailpiece and plate on either side. The one under the plate isn't even relevant. Anyway, a washer is typically pretty goddamn small; I'm holding one in my hand right now that it's as big around as a D string. I doubt that's give enough clearance.

and while I can appreciate what you are saying, you are still wrong. I have washers as thick as 1/4". Instead of continuing this silly war, perhaps we should get him to post a pic. yes?

hehe. I enjoyed that cat fight very much. It is indeed one washer either side of the plate for each post. So there is only one washer on each post between the plate and the lipstick tailpiece. The washers I used are a fraction over 1mm in thickness. I use 11 - 54 gauge strings on there. The 54 "E" string fits under with just a smidgen more clearance. I think a 56 would probably not fit under there.

I'd take a photo but I don't have a digital on me. I want a digital but I'm saving up for a Twin.
