kurt and full sized JB

Hey Im bored and my friend sent me some Cobain pic, and it made me wonder how come Kurt used full sized JB's and had the guitar routed and all when he could have just used a Jb Jr.? Where they not around at the time or is there some advantage to full sized as opposed to Jr. Thanks.

From my Cobain days, I know that the Kurtz Jag came stock when teh kurtz bought it

The Jaguar was purchased (already modified) through the "L.A. Recycler" around the time prior to recording "Nevermind". .. according to Kurtsequipment.com

Maybe he just preferred the sound and look of full buckers? Who knows.

The JB Jr did not exist in the Cobain days. Still I think he would have used a full sized Humbucker even if it would have. Many people say they sound the same which is not true. A regular JB Humbucker sounds much better. Period.

his mustangs for the 93-94 tour were routed for the full size jb, the red started out with a jb jr, or something similar to it, but was later routed for a full size jb. the full size jb does have a little different sound in the mustang than a jb jr does, guess he preferred it.

Yeah right, even if there was a difference in sound between the two, Cobain would have been able to tell.
