Jaguar body - three piece or single piece?

I'm going to start work on building my own Jag/Jazz hybrid, mostly using parts from Warmoth. I'm going to buy a Jaguar body there, but they have two available. One is cut from a single piece of wood and the other is a three-piece body. What difference (if any) will I see between the two? If it's mostly a cosmetic difference, it wouldn't matter to me because I plan on painting it a solid color anyhow. Any tips would be much appreciated.

I remember someone talking about something like this before - I think the conclusion was it didn't make much difference sonically

Yeah, I came to that same conclusion after talking to a few other people, as well. It seems that there are so many other things that would affect the sound much more than this issue would, so I'll put my money into those. Thanks.

single piece resonates more freely becuz it is not trapped at the glue lines.

do not get ripped off by warmoth, they charge way too much for some of thier stuff.

you would be better off trying mighty might. i swear to god you canget the same piece from might might for about half of what it cost at allparts, and 1/3 of what warmonth charges.

or you can do it yourself for about 20.00

I've actually checked allparts and mightymite, and Warmoth has them beaten on price for almost all of the parts that I need. Since it'll be easiest just to get everything from one place, I think I'm just going to end up getting most of the stuff there.

i suppose it would be nice to say the body was a one piece. but imo, i can't see a quantum leap in 'tone' from it. virtually every jag ever made is several piece anyway
