anyone using Lace Sensor pickups on a Jaguar

hi everyone , i have a vintage american 1964 made jaguar , and i'm really satisfied with the sound of it.. but nowadays i'm looking for some change..

i love the way Lace Sensor pickups sound and i wanna try them on my guitar..

is there anyone using these pickups on a jag or a jazzy ??

if so which type of lace sensor ? red , blue , gold etc ??

or does anyone have a sound sample of a lace sensored jaguar that i can listen to make a desicion??

i'm waiting for your replies.. it's great to be here in this forum with all jaguar lovers , brothers... thanks again...

I dont think they fit properly, like a strat pickuop wouldnt. You'd need to get a custom pickguard or somthing. You'd have to consult a tech about price and if its possible etc.Personally, I'd get a cheeky mexican strat or tele, put a set in there.

As for the colours, probably red (hot) for bridge and blue (vintage) for neck.

i think they could cause they dont have the triangle thing at the bottom so id say yes

i believe that , it must fit with good work.i thing it's shape is suitable for that.

Actually my concern is the sound it'll give. i wish there was somebody tried this before , and could give some samples for it.

i honestly like the 20 dollap-90 better than the lace sensor.

thanks for the advise... i really love my guitars sound , but i'm always open to new things.. i just wanna try, cause i also love the lace sensors..

I used a red Lace in my Jag bridge for a while. It sounded a bit hotter/fuller than the stock pup but more of a bonus was the low noise and i did'nt have to put up with microphonic feedback when i went near my distorted amp as well.

i bought one gold lace sensor pickup , i'll wire it tomorrow , and will write the review about it.. i hope it will be good for me and my guitar.. maybe if a like the sound i buy one red sensor ..

Cool. You probably know each colour has different characteristics, the Red Lace supposed to be the hottest/highest output. I'd say it was reasonable. Good luck with it.

i wired one gold lace sensor to the neck position. and it reallt impressed me with the sound. it's great and unbelievible... i loved it..

A few months down the track, what's your opinion of the gold lace sensors in your Jag? I'm considering it myself, but I was reluctant to buy the pickups until I was sure they'd actually work in a Jag.

I just fitted a red Lace Sensor in the bridge of my jag today, my mate had one spare so it was cheaper than sending the existing pickup to Bare Knuckle.

I'm reasonably pleased. For one thing, no more horrendous feedback, it's much more distortion firendly... the only thing I'm not too happy about is the amount of bass it adds, but if I use the bass cut, it evens out quite nicely. Also the fit's a bit meffy, but that's to be expected.

Definitely worth considering I'd say. 😁

hi , after a few months experience , i can definetly say lace gold is one of the best choices for the neck position... i hear the best guitar sound ever from it... the cleans really amazing... but do not forget.. gold lace with the neck position.. i tried the red lace to the bridge and i didn't like it , it killed the characteristic of the jaguar and i wired the stock bridge pickup again..

nowadays i'm thinking about wiring the JB junior to the bridge position to get the humbucker sound from the overdrive tones... i write again after i do it.

For the bridge, I'd say go with the JB jr. like you said, or a hot rails (which I use there and like a lot).

For the neck I'm leaning towards the lace sensor-gold, but there are so many damn lace pickups that it's hard to choose.

Anymore input for which Lace to put in the neck?

If the Lace Sensors are the right choice, which one would be best? They have so many...All I know is the Golds have been recommended a few times to me.

Aside from the Sensors, I know the holy grails are nice, but I don't want something too deep for the neck, considering I've got a hot, fat tone coming from the bridge.

I was also curious about the Alumitones and the Chrome Domes.

And the 25th Anniversary Lace is something I want to know more about.

Also, the Hot Golds are tweaked versions of the of the traditional Lace Sensors, so that might work.
