I just played one and thought it was a really nice guitar. Very comfortable neck profile, the jumbo frets are a nice modern touch and the satin finish was very smooth and playable. I also think the bridge is a vast improvement over standard Jazzmaster bridges but I'm not one to actually use a trem so the compatibility of the adjusto-matic (or tune-o-matic) bridge with the trem is not a concern of mine. I also thought the purple sparkle finish looked less "sparkley" in normal lighting than it appears in photos, which is a good thing.
The pickups sound good but not great. Not thin or weak sounding like a really bad Jazzmaster pickup, but still a bit "picky" on the top end. I would probably swap them out for Antiquity II's since I have had good luck with them on my Tele and my partsmaster.
I would like to point out that the specs on Fender's website look a bit inaccurate to me. For starters, they list the nut width as 41 mm, 1.65". 1.65" is 42 mm and it felt at least that wide to me. I also thought the neck felt more like a thin U than a C and the radius seemed flatter than 7.25"; probably 9.5" but I could be wrong...
