Well it's been along time but the Jazzmaster is almost done. Here are some new images. I really liked the white primer and was going to go with Olympic white but in the end I had to go with the Fiesta red:
Eventually I am going to replace the trem with an authentic Fender one to get the trem lock as well as the original look. I still don't quite get the wiring....well see how that goes when I get to it. I am going to use jumbo fret wire which I like on all the Fender style guitars.
I was reading on Wilkipedia (sp) and was surprised to read that Hendrix played a white Jazzmaster for the song "Fire" in his early days.
Also, has anyone heard of the band "Back Door Slammed"? Dang, they sound just like Hendrix....as if he was reborn and started right up writing music again. They were here in Portland OR tonight and were playing live and not doing cover but their own work... I could not believe the resemblence in their sound.
