the jag-stang has been sold to nirvana freak.

i bound it about 20 mins ago and did the back belly contour, still need to do the qtr round, but that will only take a few mins to do.

What kind of glue did you use?

the belly contour needs a lot more work.

can;t do any more to the belly contour, think about it, the route for the phase switches will start to peak if i take off about 5-6 mms off.

i figured that out the hard way with an ash one that i did, i didn;t really go thru but i could see light and dark thru the wood, i ended up having to glue a peice in there just for good measure.

I just mean it needs to look a bit sharper. It needs more of a defined line around it.

I was pretty careful of the route too when I did Mumbly Joes. I think I only routed it 2cm deep just to be careful, I hope that left him some wiring room.

It's annoying for me that Stewmac cannot ship their glue or paint to Australia.

Actually mine's not much better but you can see it's a consistent circle shape.

indeed indeed, mine still has not got the qtr round on it tho, and plus you have the power of the shadow on your side, all i have is a flash.

its not really stu macs fault, its like air travel laws or something, some of that stuff will combust once it hits a certain altitude.

Oh yeah, It should look awesome once you've rounded it.

What tool do you use to contour it? I use an angle grinder, which cuts it like butter. It's risky but once you gain control it's real easy and time-saving.

Binding looks good. What colour will it be?

i used a disc/combo sander, it was a nice lil 70 dollar cheapie at the local hardware store, it does the trick tho.

if the bridge was positioned back more could i use a bigger scale neck?

yes indeed, if you wanted me to move the bridge back you could any scale neck on there, you could even put a baritone neck on there as long as you let me know beforehand.

yeah, it will give you an idea of the size of the neck, and the sound,

my advice,

go straight for an amp that closely resembles yours and try getting a good clean sound, jam on it for a while, and then instead of straight distortion try overdrive, overdrives always sound better with low output single coils.

if they come up and start busting your balls about this or that tell them to shut up. i hate guitar salesmen more than car salesmen.
